In 2018, Vicky Jo achieved her PhD after 8 years of being stuck at home, immersed in studying and writing.  She felt free at last to travel and see the world, as she hungered to do.  In the meantime, Robin’s job as a corporate trainer had transitioned to being mostly online webinar-based tuition.  Since Vicky Jo’s new part-time job as a professor at an online university was also web-based, it meant we were both free to travel. 

 

Having no pets of our own, and no other dependents, we threw all of our stuff into storage and signed up for a house-sit in Provence to test the waters.  After a few weeks, we decided we really enjoyed this nomadic lifestyle and promptly signed up for more sits.  Now, some 5 years and dozens of sitting engagements later, we are committed to wandering around Europe, looking after houses and pets wherever the need arises.
